AI Transparency

1. What this page is about

Since 2 August 2026, Article 50 of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 (the AI Act) has applied. Paragraph 2 requires providers of generative AI systems to mark synthetic outputs in a machine-readable form. Paragraph 4 requires deployers in particular to visibly disclose deepfakes and certain AI-generated or manipulated text published to inform the public on matters of public interest. For clear provenance, this page voluntarily goes further and tells you where artificial intelligence is involved on btech-solutions.eu — and where it deliberately is not.

I do not treat this disclosure as red tape. Part of what I sell is advice on digital compliance. A site that stayed quiet about its own would be a poor argument.

2. Imagery: generated and labelled

Some of the images on this website were created with generative AI. Every one of them carries a visible note on the image itself — not just here in the small print. This covers:

  • My portrait and working images. They were generated from real photographs of me: the face, age, glasses and build are mine, while clothing and surroundings were added by the model. It is my likeness — but it is not a photograph.
  • The film on the home page. Generated from the same real portrait shots. The label stays visible throughout, because the film is scrolled rather than played — a note shown only at the start would never be seen by someone entering through an anchor link.
  • The figure of the digital guide. A generated moving image of me, labelled throughout as well.

Graphics, diagrams and the preview images of the articles are not labelled. They do not give the impression of being a photograph and therefore fall outside the disclosure requirement.

What you will not find here: fabricated evidence. No generated client logos, no invented screen content pretending to be finished work, no place imagery showing a town it claims to show but does not. Where an image would assert a fact it cannot support, there is a graphic instead.

3. Text: under editorial responsibility

I use AI tools when researching and writing the articles and glossary entries — in the same way I use a compiler, a linter or a search engine.

Every published article is reviewed by me on the substance before it goes online: for accuracy, for completeness, and for whether it says what I consider correct. Editorial responsibility for all content on this website rests with me, Benjamin Tietz, personally. A spell check would not be enough for that — what is meant is review of the substance.

I review the articles before publication and publish them under my editorial responsibility. Where a text falls within the Article 50(4) disclosure rule for matters of public interest at all, the exception there for human-reviewed content with editorial responsibility therefore applies.

4. Where no AI is at work

Two things on this site look like artificial intelligence and are not. That deserves disclosing just as much as the opposite case.

  • The digital guide is not an AI system. What it says comes from a fixed set of rules I wrote. It understands nothing, it learns nothing, and nothing of yours is sent to a language model. Should that change, it will be stated here before it goes live — and you will be asked before your first input.
  • The website analysis is done by hand. You do not receive an automated tool export, but an assessment I carry out myself.

Also not in use: emotion recognition, biometric categorisation, automated scoring of visitors. This website makes no decisions about people.

5. AI literacy under Article 4

Since 2 February 2025, Article 4 of the AI Act has required those who deploy AI systems to have sufficient AI literacy. BTECH SOLUTIONS is a sole proprietorship; I operate the systems in use myself.

  • The tools in use are generative image and text tools and coding assistants — solely for design, research and programming, never for decisions about people.
  • The provenance of every delivered image is documented in a register inside the project; the labelling is derived from it rather than set by hand.
  • I am aware of the limits and failure modes of these tools — in particular that they can invent facts. That is precisely why every publication is preceded by a review of the substance.
